Advancing Extended Producer Responsibility in Canada
The Canadian EPR Forum: Atlantic Roundtable will bring together approximately 125 Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) representatives and industry experts from across Canada for focused discussions, knowledge sharing and networking.
The program will explore shared challenges and practical approaches to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policy, compliance, data, logistics and environmental outcomes, with an emphasis on collaboration across jurisdictions and sectors. It will include a dedicated PRO-only session, an evening networking reception and a full conference day.

Since 2005, the Canadian Stewardship Conference has been Canada’s premier forum for exchanging information and ideas on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). For the past two decades, governments around the world have introduced EPR regulations in various forms. Today, EPR is integral to many, if not most, businesses. The challenge now is to make it work.
Extended producer responsibility (EPR) is an environmental policy approach in which a producer’s responsibility, physical and/or financial, for a product is extended to the post-consumer stage of a product’s life cycle.
The 2026 Canadian EPR Forum took place at the Château Frontenac in Quebec City, Canada, with its indoor pool, luxury spa, exceptional restaurants, and iconic bar. Ideally located within the walls of the Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is the best location to discover Quebec City.
The 2024 Canadian EPR Forum brings together industry leaders, government policymakers, business operators and innovators from across Canada, the United States and Europe to share
perspectives, knowledge and experience as we prepare for the next phase of EPR, and all the challenges and opportunities it will bring.
